International Credit Mobility Information
European Educational Program ERASMUS+ marks 30 years of life in the European area. During this time, through ERASMUS+, the European Union has subsidized more than 4 million students from various European countries in order to move to European universities, to complete part of their studies.
Since 2015, Erasmus+ has acquired an international dimension by connecting European Universities with Institutions outside Europe. The new international dimension of Erasmus+ it is called “International Credit Mobility (ICM)” and it enables the European Universities participating in Erasmus+ to generate Inter-institutional agreements with international partners. Through the above mentioned partnerships, outgoing and incoming student and staff can be carried out between Universities on an international scale.
International Mobility, as one of the actions of the Erasmus+ Program, provides the possibility for members of Higher Education Institutions (students, teaching and administrative staff) to move to partner countries for studies or internships, for teaching or training, as the case may be. In this way, participants can come into contact with other people, cultures, and educational systems and acquire experiences and knowledge in corresponding scientific fields, knowledge that will be useful in their career.
